Deploy
To distribute systematically or strategically; to put into
use or action
-– The American Heritage Dictionary
Deploy – the project phase in
which a completed project is tested and verified, loaded to the server and
integrated to appropriate systems, released to its intended audience, and
marketed. The deploy phase brings about project completion wrapping up the
engagement and releasing your project.
The first step in deploy is to test the completed project. Working with you,
Beacon will stress test all aspects of the project to ensure its quality,
ease-of-use, viability, and fitness for purpose. Any problems that arise during
testing as a result of programming or technical errors will be fixed
immediately, and any desired functionality found to be missing upon testing but
not part of the original project scope will be considered and developed on a
case-by-case basis.
Upon the completion of testing, the web site will be deployed to production.
Beacon’s hosting capabilities allow us to host your completed applications for
you, or we can implement your project on your choice of servers in a
configuration optimized for your project. A final phase of testing in a
production atmosphere will ensure workability in the final hosting environment.
Upon successful completion of production testing, your web site/application will
be made available to your users and visitors.
The final step in the deploy phase is marketing for your new site. Beacon’s
marketing experts can submit your site to search engines, optimize your
placement within the search engines, devise and initiate a banner and/or direct
e-mail campaign, and more depending on the suitability for your project and your
project’s particular needs.
